Luz Roncal (BCAM – Ikerbasque) will participate in Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna through TRANSMATH Cross-Border Cooperation Laboratory (LTC)

The Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna 2021 will be held again on 28 and 29 October at the Tabakalera, Donostia-San Sebastian. Taking into account the current situation, the meeting will be limited to 150 people, including representatives of the institutions of the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU), the University of Bordeaux (UB), TECNALIA, Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC), and the other trustees of Euskampus Fundazioa. On behalf of BCAM, Jose Antonio Lozano, Scientific Directo, will attend the event. As in the previous edition held in 2020, the event will be broadcast online.

During the two days, the programme will consist of various sessions of active participation by those attending the event and the presentation of projects by students and junior researchers in 3 minutes. In order to allow more time for contact and social interaction, the format of the Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna will be two half-days. In addition, the commitment to multi-linguistic and multi-cultural richness will be maintained, so that each participant can express themselves and interact in the language they feel most comfortable with (Basque, French or Spanish, with English as the vehicular language).

TRANSMATH project will be also at Euskampus Bordeaux Eguna 2021. It is a project created in December 2018 for mathematics and its applications as part of the Cross-Border Cooperation Laboratory (LCT), involving BCAM, TECNALIA, the University of Bordeaux, the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the Bordeaux National Polytechnic Institute (INP). The aim of LCT is to generate an institutional framework for research teams from the Basque Country and Bordeaux to work together. In this edition, Dr. Luz Roncal will be representing BCAM at the TRANSMATH project.

On October 29th, the Joint Research Lab on Offshore Renewable Energy (JRL-ORE) and the RENOVABLES project, both with the participation of BCAM, will be presented in the Project Plaza.

In 2021, the event will take place within the framework of the tenth anniversary of Euskampus Fundazioa. The project was created with the aim of achieving international leadership in education, knowledge generation and transfer in three areas of specialisation: sustainable ecosystems and environmental technologies, innovative processes and new materials, healthy ageing and quality of life.
